Day 1

So while we were at Lake Weekend, Aaron really liked Abby's cooler for Glisson and he thought that he should get one too. I had kinda already planned to make him one at some point but hadn't really given it much thought. So to keep me busy this summer I've decided I would work on making him a cooler. It will be a surprise for when he gets back from the NIH.

Today I went to Hobby Lobby and bought paints, paint pens, paint brushes and some acrylic finishing gloss. I ended getting the cooler at WalMart. It's small but I thought it would better for him since he doesn't have much space in his room (also, the smaller it is the less I have to paint :p ). Last week I had picked out some images I wanted to put on there and today I got some more and then printed and cut them out so I could arrange them on the cooler. After trying out a few ideas I finally found one I liked. I still have one side that needs a little more but I think I may already have a solution for it. Aaron is a brother of Delta Sigma Phi so the cooler has his fraternity's coat of arms, flag, colors, and other symbols. It also has quite a few other fratty things.

I started painting tonight and I plan to work on it everyday or at least every other day. It seems that the paint dries kinda slow so it's going to take a while to get it done. I still have two plus months though so I'm not worried. I'm going to be posting pictures of my progress as soon as I find my camera.

Anyways, just kinda wanted to document my progress. I'm really excited and I hope he likes it!
